Not fit to receive guests in its current state of repair Positive: It was quaint Negative: There was a building site going on all around the apartment generating noise and dust with workmen arriving at 7am to start work. The internal cleanliness was not good with layer of dust ( probably from the building works) but other things were just not clean, shower room, kitchen appliance and cutlery to name a few. The aircon was exceptionally loud and clunky. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every noise from the other apartment. The porch was filthy you could not sit there, again probably from the work that was being carried out. There was no privacy at the bathroom window when taking a shower again because of the workmen. My husband had to rig something up to allow me to shower with some dignity. The toilet gave us a jump scare as it starts the minute you entered the bathroom. A room off the kitchen was a dump again from builders but that is where the ironing board was kept, full of paper, old paper coffee cups and empty boxes. The lock on the front door was so flimsy you could have knocked it open very easily. When we arrived we had not been given the correct door code so sat outside for at least an hour awaiting an answer from booking.com or the owner(s). Some other tenants let us in eventually or we would have sat there for two hours! I had difficulty contacting the owner and felt I spent the first evening chasing them. The owner had txt me via Watsapp the night before we left to say there was some ‘landscaping’ at the property and we would not be able to park a car there, but they would ‘work with us’ . I did not expect the site we arrived at, full renovation with building equipment eg cement mixer also port a loo for the workmen. This was not ‘landscaping’ He agreed to refund the rest of our stay but charged us for the first night and we left first thing and booked a lovely Marriott at Tudor Wharf with pool and 2 rooms for less money !! Turned out good for us as we had an amazing time in Boston.

Gruselbude in Cambridge, MA Nähe Harvard Positive: Die Lage in Cambridge ist gut. Negative: Wir verbrachten 2 Nächte in der Wohnung, Familie mit 3 Kindern. Die Werbung als Luxusappartment ist nicht zutreffend, sondern bewusst irreführend. Luxus ist aus meiner Sicht nicht Lage, sondern hochwertige Ausstattung, die Wohlfühlatmosphäre schafft. Hierzu gehört gründliche Sauberkeit. Das Appartment hat eine miserable Ausstattung mit einigen Gadgets, welche total unnötig sind. Wer benötigt Mülleimer, die sich elektrisch öffnen und schließen, aber nicht funktionieren. Hightech Toilette mit Sitzwärmer, nicht abstellbar. Glaswaschbecken mit verschmutzten Rand. Die div. Fernbedienungen für Licht und Ventilatoren funktionierten auch nicht richtig, die Ventilatoren waren verstaubt und verteilten diesen in den Zimmern, Fernbedienung für Ventilatoren und Licht, aus o.g. nicht sinnvoll. Das Geschirr, Töpfe und Pfannen waren teils klebrig, teils mit Speiseanhaftungen, da nicht gründlich gereinigt. Wir steckten das, was wir benutzten erstmal in die Spülmaschine. Diese roch auch nach ausgetrockneten Siphon, da länger nicht benutzt, wie auch die anderen Abflüsse. Bei evtl. längerem Leerstand muss ich als Arzt Gedanken über gesundheitliche Gefährdung durch Legionellen im Leitungswasser äußern. Sichtbare Leitungen sind verrostet, Wasserauslässe in Dusche und Küche stark verkalkt. Über die Duschwanne wurde schon oft berichtet. Auch wenn sie etwas Besonderes sein soll, sie ist unpraktisch, durch Kalk unansehnlich und wirkt einfach unsauber. Das Besteigen ist nur für Sportliche möglich, potentiell erhöhte Sturzgefahr. Die Bedienung ist abenteuerlich, kalt/heiß Zufall. Die gesamte Wohnung ist so eingerichtet, dass in vielen Ecken eine gründliche Reinigung nicht möglich ist. Fazit: Im aktuellen Zustand sollte die Wohnung auf keinem Portal angeboten werden. Eine gründliche Sanierung ist vorher zwingend erforderlich. Die Sicherung welche raus war und das Zünden des Gasherdes unmöglich machte, wurde zwar von einem freundlichen Nachbarn zeitnah behoben, eine Behebung aller o.g.

the owner should address mold risks. Positive: It's a good location, very closed to Harvard. the community is very quiet. Negative: The ventilation and air quality in the house were problematic. As soon as we entered, my wife started coughing. When we turned on the air conditioning, the odor became even stronger. Since my child has allergies, we stayed for only about 10 minutes before deciding to switch to a regular hotel. Boston is already very humid, so I recommend the owner regularly inspect and clean the air conditioning ducts to prevent mold. During the rainy season, this place is not suitable for families with elderly people or young children.

A perfect place for our family to share in a perfect vacation. Positive: The house is adorable and functional. The location is ideal for getting around the city. And it’s located in a safe, quiet neighborhood. Negative: N/A

It was a nice stay close but the inside was odd Positive: It was close to lots of sites and had parking for 1 car and a keyless lock. Negative: Shower was too high up and more of a tub and it made it hard for my older people to shower. It had too many controls for everything including the toilet
